My name is Celeste Talley and I am the Owner and Executive Luxury Chef of Simply Celeste’s. I am originally from the Southern part of New Jersey but I currently reside in Phoenix, AZ with my husband, John. I graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Business and Communication. The reason that I started my business is because of my passion for cooking, love for excellent cuisine and entrepreneurship in my family. What better way to exercise my gifts and talents than opening up my own catering business?
The late Donald Roach Sr. and Rebecca Roach, owned a restaurant, Hearts of Lettuce, in the early 90’s serving healthy cuisine including salads, sandwiches and soups. My mother and father purchased used equipment to open the restaurant started. It was an establishment that was way before its time. With no formal culinary training, they were able to get the restaurant established and it became very successful.
In 2017 my father passed away unexpectedly, I was devastated but wanted to keep my father’s legacy alive (my mother died when I was just three years old).
I used to talk to my father, just about every day. I told him that we always talked about food but that was okay with me. He loved to hear about what I had made for dinner and when my husband and I would go out to eat to hear about how the food tasted. He also wanted to know all about my catering events and enjoyed seeing the pictures of my set up.
My father gave me the skills needed to become an excellent chef. When it comes to food, I can pretty much do it all, from the basics of chocolate chip cookies to more elaborate in-house recipes like Celeste’s Famous Chocolate Chip Cheesecake. For any occasion, we have exactly what will match your needs.
